Storm & Brilliance

The message on Bloodoline's first album is clear: extreme, violent, nihilistic and misanthropic. Yup, this is a blackmetal band, radiating hate and death in their music. Apart from the expected blastbeats, evil riffage and the typical blackmetal atmosphere, Bloodoline surprises me with their variation. It's not the same monotonous drive throughout the whole album, but every song has its own distinct tune or tempo changes. The concept also feels original and good: the album actually consists of six tracks, but between every one there's a kind of short interlude. A non-conventional blackmetal album that's both well executed and well composed!
