To be honest, I was hoping to find this album in my mail box. Black Bomb A is one of the big standard bearers of the modern French metal movement. And independent record label from Paris "AT(h)OME" has always been a terrific companion of Corazine. From Chaos is the sixth official production of the Parisian hardcore giant Black Bomb A. This is a delicacy to review (we previewed the first ten songs on "From Chaos"), so let's get started!
No relaxing therapy with Black Bomb A: The first song, entitled "To Reactivate", comes straight to the point. The song demobilizes the aggressive metalcore scent and appeals with the tight pace and different vocals. This combination of timbres adds an oldschool, punkish sound to the metallic whole. This simply is marvellous. The Black Bomb A sound of From Chaos recalls the Human Bomb spirit (the full length from 2001; yet I think this production is a bit more technical). The unscrupulous and youthful atmosphere gives birth to the second song "Uncivilization". This is plain old fun. Black Bomb A shows with From Chaos why this group is an established resident in the world known French Metal Gallery. The "chaos" maybe isn't that earthquaking or mathcore deluding, but the spirit definitely is thunderous and purposive. The guest vocals of Wattie Buchan, a legend in crossover punk metal, stir up the metalcore aura and grants the listener a mordant and rumbling show with song number six "Burning Road". Just superb! One of my favourite tracks on this 2009 release, is song ten "Digging My Grave". The song is more subtle with well chosen variations in the punkcore flow. The mastermind construction of the singalong metalcore parts is tremendous. Black Bomb A certainly delivers a streamlined colossus album. That's for sure!
When you insert this disc in your CD player, Black Bomb A will take you by hand and guide you through a chaotic hardcore theatre.
