Billy Club Sandwich is refreshingly no holds barred and no frills. This music remembers the purity of punk, hardcore and thrash rawk - that whole crossover thing. These guys belong on the same shelf, sound-wise, as Pro-Pain. Metal and heavy punk rock rule the day, crashing through the cranium with all the directness of the titular blunt object (and the appeal of the titular meal). Fun, loud and you can mosh to it. Big vibe, great energy, a roaring blend of the hardcore scene and the metallic crowd - it's kind of the definitive hardcore thing (as distinguished from hardcore punk and straight thrash). In other words, it's hardcore as the fusion of metal and the rock without rules thing (and not as fast as, say crossover king DRI, in case you're wondering - at least not if memory serves me correct, but who fucking knows?) To cut off a long babbling sojourn of words and try to keep this short(er), "The Usual Suspects" is an infectious batch of heavy, grooved music that will appeal to the punk rock crowd and the headbangers.
