The Desert Anomaly

The Belgian Ashville sent me their second demo recently. They mainly play solid stoner/blues stuff with the energetic influence of metal, according to themselves. Even though I'm mostly into extreme metal, I really could enjoy this kind of music! The band aims for relentless groove in each single riff, which makes the songs very listenable and catchy. Everything sounds simply "finished" - from the first drumbeat to the last guitarsolo. As this demo is self-financed and released, I must congratulate Ashville with the result - cool artwork, a great production, and even a videoclip too! I advise everyone to just take a listen - Ashville just might appeal to the lot of you with their stuff (proof: they have won numerous rockrally's and preselections as well). Thumbs up!
