A Minced Retrospective

I'm not sure, but most of the recordings on this orange-coloured tape were never released before.

side A has songs from 1997-1998. "no ear for you"/"slaves to the beat"/"elderly's fate" blast out because of the sound and the echoic (?) brutal voice. the kindly smashing track "they stare" moves between "untitled I" and "untitled II" (great! give it a name!) followed by a real fast "mincecore!" and 2 more. the 5 openers are half-a-vinyl of AGx's full e.p. "gotcha!".

side B starts with the other half, means "gotcha!"/"exPlore"/"cattle". I'm not saying this is not good but I prefèré the sound of vinyl. then we have guaranteed 4 live songs, including an exclusive played "lay off me". "untitled III" is most of the time drums and guitars. RAW MINCING MADNESS combined in 11 spawns of a 3-years-old-agathocles live set recording from 1988 powers up this cassette, enriched with the explainations of jan AG in "het mols". the 8-paged booklet of the D.I.Y. noisekeeper is worth a nomination because of it's originality, as well as the finished result. absolute "ode to..."! (cheers jan)
