THE TOY DOLLS play their punk fast, fun and catchy, which isn’t to say there’s not hella-sneer in those lead vocals. And besides those lead vocals, we get the chorus-chants or whatever you punk kids call it. And the sneering, of course, points to the overwhelming attitude flying off this disc like sparks. Sharp, bright guitar sounds lend strength to the punk proceedings. And, as far as that punk goes, if you like your rawk pure and unadulterated by corporate whore-ishness, then you can’t bet wrong with THE ALBUM AFTER THE LAST ONE. Everything about it is punk, from the nasty, snide vox to the fuck-you ‘tude. Musically, lyrically and attitudinally, THE TOY DOLLS are real punk and also real GOOD punk. Don’t take my word for it. It’s a bright yellow CD. You can’t miss it. Go look. NOW.
