I kind of like it when album titles do all the reviewing for me. I don’t know why, because I still have to write the review. Maybe I just appreciate it when the band helps out? Who knows? Moving on, or, really, FINALLY getting down to business, NASHVILLE PUSSY’S new double-disc beast is a behemoth of musclebound music. Sex, drugs and rock-n-roll? Indeed. FROM HELL TO TEXAS/LIVE AND LOUD IN EUROPE encapsulates that. NASHVILLE PUSSY has never felt the need to apologize – they wouldn’t be NP if they did – for their brash, politically incorrect attitude. But real rock requires rollicking attitude and there’s tons of that and then some – there’s snarl to spare – in this rambunctious mix of studio and live tracks, on both of which the band excels. That means you get some of these songs twice, plus a bunch of other NP tunes rocketing from the stage to your speakers. Ball-busting chops is what these guys have got. Loud and liquored up, heavy and horny, NASHVILLE PUSSY is truly unleashed with this tidal wave of high proof whiskey rock.
