Evil United is loud balm for the old-schooler. What we have here is nothing short of a sandblast to the ears by way of OLD SCHOOL THRASH. Yessir. Exodus can move aside; there’s a new team in town. Evil United knows how to lash out with some guitar grooves and the rhythm section has no problemo keeping up. The shrieks – and occasional shouts – of the frontman are what really bring home the retro aspect of this. Honestly, I thought maybe I was in for some death metal or even black metal. So imagine my surprise when I get aurally destroyed by some vintage style thrash metal? I guess this kills the surprise for you, but if you dig old style thrash, then you should be happy anyway. So quitcher bitchin’.
